Big Joe's Power Washing started in November 2004 as a side job for a first-year middle school teacher and high school football coach in the Shawnee Mission School District. Joe balanced early morning wash jobs with full days in the classroom and evenings on the practice field. Two years in, the business had grown enough that he made a clear choice: resign from teaching and coaching and run Big Joe's Power Washing full time.
That background matters. Teaching and coaching demand patience, accountability, and showing up prepared. Joe brought all of that into the field. Since 2004 — now 21 years — those same habits have shaped how we approach every job, whether it's a single fleet truck or a full commercial property.
